Dog and Cat Adoptions in VA, DC, Sunday, October 11!
This Sunday, October 11, 2009, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue will be at our Alexandria, Virginia, store from 12:00 to 2:00 PM with some great dogs in need of new homes! Click here for directions. Halloween Happenings!
This year, we have TWO fun events for Halloween -- Trick or Treating in Old Town, Alexandria, and Howl-O-Week Costume Contest on Capitol Hill!
K9 Trick or Treat in Old Town, Alexandria! On Sunday, October 25, 2009, we are sponsoring an afternoon of Trick-or-Treating for dogs in costume in Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia! Tickets are $10 per dog, available at our Alexandria store -- 101-A S. Saint Asaph Street. Purchase tickets in advance or on October 25, check in at the store for your trick-or-treat bag and map, then head out to participating stores in Old Town for some canine treats from Chateau-Animaux! Registered Trick-or-Treaters will also be entered to win a 30-pound bag of Taste of the Wild dog food and Zanadoo dog biscuits! Click here for directions.
Howl-O-Ween on Capitol Hill! On Saturday, October 31, 2009, we will have our annual Canine Costume Party in Lincoln Park, 12th and East Capitol Streets, SE, sponsored! Compete for prizes in 5 fun categories: Funniest, Scariest, Best Disguise, Best Dressed and Best in Show! This year's celebrity judges will include: Patty Brosmer, President, Capitol Hill Business Improvement District (BID); James Dalpee, Executive Director, Barracks Row Main Street; and Grace Steckler, President, Saving Grace Services, Inc. No entry fee or pre-registration required. Event starts at 2 PM! Free treat bags for all canine participants!
